Detailed description of Lake Pepin Golf Course

Lake Pepin Golf Course is a Semi-Private 18 hole golf course located in Lake City, Minnesota.

The course first opened to play in 1997 with nine holes. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2001. The course was designed by Gordon Emerson.

The course was built on the flatlands of Lake City on a site that was previously a five-generation farm. Blending the rugged grandeur of Lake Pepin with dramatic windswept terrain. The course has views of the lake from 12 holes. Water hazards come into play on two holes and sand bunkers are sprinkled into the design. A strong short game is very much recommended on this course.

Lake Pepin Golf Club is located on the bluffs of the Mississippi. The course was hand and built with land that's been in the family for over 100 years. They took a chance, moving their livelihood from the love of farming to the love of golf. The breeze above the bluffs of this river course is constant along with the views and challenge. If there is a thing was ever a par-82 course, this could be it! But remember not all holes are in the wind!

Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
